Bisanne 1500 is in the commune of Villard sur Doron 10 km from the village of the same name and only 5 km from Les Saisies. This little resort is in a beautiful setting between the mountain pastures and the forest with exceptional views of Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain massif.
This satellite resort is connected to the whole of Les Saisies ski area (70 km of pistes) and the Espace Diamant (185 km of pistes) by the Rosière 4 man chair lift. There are also 3 pistes (the Planay and Rosière blue runs and the Bouquetin black) for skiing down to Bisanne 1500. There is a snow canon on the lower part of the Planay blue piste to maintain the snow conditions and increase the length of the season.
There are also free ski buses running all winter between Bisanne 1500 and the resort of Les Saisies. This service has been reinforce and there is a new bus stop at the top of the resort (near the "Fermes du Beaufortain") as well as the existing stop at the bottom of the Rosière chair lift.
In the resort there are: 3 restaurants, a ski hire shop and a lift pass office. Plans to build more shops are under consideration: supermarket, deli and local crafts.
The resort and future projects: - The Bisanne 1500 management project continues with the programme "Les Alpages de Bisanne". MGM, the property developer, is in the process of building a small hamlet of around 10 chalets (or 115 apartments of approximately 580 beds) to be finished soon. These luxury apartments (3/5 rooms) have a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains (Mont Blanc and the Beaufortain valley).
